Peskov: Kremlin watching situation around Israel with great concern

The Kremlin is watching with great concern the worsening of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

“We are watching with great concern what is happening around Israel, in the Middle East. This situation is potentially dangerous as it expands, and therefore, of course, this is a subject of our special concern these days,” Peskov said.

He noted that that Moscow stands for an early “transition of the situation to a peaceful channel.”

Peskov added that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s schedule does not include contacts with the leadership of Israel or Palestine: “Contacts go through the diplomatic department. If necessary, of course, such contacts can be organized very quickly.”
