Pentagon: US military operates anywhere international law allows

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ralph Johnson (DDG 114) is conducting a routine Taiwan Strait transit on August 22 (local time) through waters where high-seas freedom of navigation and overflight apply in accordance with international law, Report informs, referring to Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (DVIDS).

The ship transited through a corridor in the Strait that is beyond the territorial sea of any coastal state.
