Pentagon comments on Gaza hospital explosion

The US is calling on Israel to follow the law of war in operations against the Palestinian radical Hamas movement in Gaza, Sabrina Singh, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary, told a press briefing, Report informs via AP News.

According to her, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant have been in touch on a near daily basis since the attack and I expect that they'll connect again soon.

“Hamas does not speak for the Palestinian people, and we will continue to raise the importance of adhering to the rule of law and the rule -- and the law of war, under which civilians may not be deliberately targeted,” she said.
