Parade in honor of Queen’s Platinum Jubilee underway in London

The solemn parade in honor of the 70th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II is taking place in London, Report informs referring to foreign media.

More than 1,500 servicemen from different units of the royal armed forces and 400 musicians are taking part in the event.

The culmination of the festive events will be a parade scheduled for June 5 with the participation of 10,000 people, among whom celebrities are expected. The procession will begin under the chime of the bells of Westminster Abbey, from where its participants will proceed to Buckingham Palace.
