OSCE PA to have special committee on Ukraine

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe creates a special committee on Ukraine, Ukrainian MP, a member of the Permanent Delegation of the Verkhovna Rada to the OSCE PA Pavlo Frolov(Servant of the People faction) said, Report informs via Interfax-Ukraine.

"Already on the first day of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly summer session in Vancouver, Canada, an important decision was made to establish a special committee on Ukraine for consultations between parliamentarians of 57 participating countries on issues of assistance to the people of Ukraine due to the Russian invasion," Frolov wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

He also noted that in the resolution proposed by the Ukrainian delegation, the Assembly called on the OSCE member states to support the creation of a special tribunal to bring Russian war criminals to justice, as well as condemn the Russian state ideology.

"The OSCE Ministerial Council was recommended to recognize Russia as a violator of OSCE principles and commitments and, on this basis, to ignore any of its disagreement (right of veto) regarding decisions on Ukraine in accordance with the OSCE Prague Document of 1992," Frolov said.
