Number of burglaries and robberies in UK reaches all-time high

The number of burglaries and robberies in the UK has reached an all-time high, Report informs referring to Haber Global.

It is noted that the country documented 1.100 million cases of theft in 2023.

Store owners said that meat, alcohol and confectionery were most often stolen. They are usually stolen by drug addicts or alcoholics, as well as members of organized crime groups.

“Life crisis” is called the reason for the increase in cases of theft.

100/60 cases of shoplifting are committed by repeat offenders. 79 out of 100 business owners believe that the cost of living crisis has led to an increase in theft.
