The Norwegian government has decided to increase aid within the framework of the support program for Ukraine in 2025 from the current 27 billion Norwegian kroner ($2.46 billion) to 30 billion kroner ($2.7 billion), Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said, Report informs via TASS.
Thus, he rejected the earlier proposal to reduce aid to Kyiv.
According to Reuters, the center-left coalition government proposed in October to reduce aid to Ukraine to 15 billion kroner ($1.37 billion), but opposition parties opposed this initiative. The conservatives proposed increasing Ukraine's allocated expenses to 45 billion kroner ($4.11 billion).
The head of the Norwegian government had previously stated that the country intends to extend its support program for Ukraine until 2030. Norway has provided more than $3 billion in aid to Kyiv since February 2022.
