NATO official: Military conflict in Ukraine to continue

The military conflict in Ukraine is not over yet, NATO Deputy Secretary-General Mircea Geoană said at a ceremony at the Romanian National Defense Ministry on the 18th anniversary of Romania's accession to the alliance, Report informs.
"We expect the intensification of the war on the eastern flank and in the south, which does not allow us to see the conditions for a peaceful settlement. According to our estimates, the conflict is still ongoing," Mircea Geoană said.
According to the Alliance official, the summit in Madrid will make decisions of strategic importance for NATO's permanent, solid and balanced presence on the eastern flank.
