Death toll from Morocco earthquake rises to 2,901

The death toll from the earthquake in Morocco has risen to 2,901. The highest death toll was recorded in Al-Hawz province - 1,643, the Kingdom's Ministry of Internal Affairs said, Report informs via TASS.
According to the ministry, the number of victims of the earthquake has increased to 5,530. Emergency services continue search and rescue operations.
An earthquake of magnitude 7 occurred in Morocco on the night of September 9. The epicenter was located 80 kilometers from Marrakesh at a depth of 10 kilometers. This was followed by at least four aftershocks with magnitudes 4.8, 3.4, 3.2 and 3.3. King Mohammed VI declared three days of mourning in Morocco.
