Starting September 10, the authorities in Montenegro will require a negative COVID-19 test result, a vaccination certificate, or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.
Currently, foreign nationals can travel to Montenegro without any requirements and restrictions.
"The entry to Montenegro for Montenegrin citizens and foreign nationals is permitted if they are fully vaccinated or received one vaccine shot against COVID-19, if they have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure or a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result issued at most 48 hours before arrival, or a positive serological -IgG antibodies test result issued at most 48 days before arrival; or a positive COVID-19 PCR test result issued at least 14 days and at most 180 days before arrival," the statement of the head of the Public Health Institute Igor Galic says.
Entry from neighboring Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia, and Herzegovina for the citizens of these countries and Montenegrins does not require the indicated documents.
Weddings, birthdays, and other private holidays can be held, provided that the guests have one of the listed certificates. The same rules apply to the visitors of museums and galleries. Gatherings of more than 50 people in open spaces are prohibited.
