Moldovan President: If Russia attacks us, we will ask Romania for help

Moldova will seek help from Romania, an active member of NATO, in case of armed aggression by Russia, President of Moldova Maia Sandu said during the meeting with the Romanian leader Klaus Iohannis, Report informs, citing UNIAN.

She said that if the war in Ukraine spreads to Moldova, Chisinau will turn to Bucharest for help: "We are worried. We accept the most pessimistic scenarios. Accordingly, we prepare for all scenarios. In a situation where Russia tries to attack the Republic of Moldova, of course, we will ask for help."

In his turn, Iohannis said that they are ready to help Moldova.
