Modi and Putin discuss bilateral partnership amidst Ukraine conflict

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the leaders discussed the development of the Russia-India strategic partnership and the ongoing war in Ukraine.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Modi shared details of the call. "Today, I spoke with President Putin. We discussed measures to further strengthen our special and privileged strategic partnership and exchanged views on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. I shared my insights from the recent visit to Ukraine," Modi wrote.
"I reaffirmed India's unwavering commitment to a swift, lasting, and peaceful settlement of the conflict," he added.
