Media: US, its allies cannot stop Houthi attacks in Red Sea

The US and its allies cannot stop attacks by the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis), which controls large parts of Yemen, on ships and warships in the Red Sea, Report informs referring to Bloomberg.

The allies are using all their expensive equipment for this, but they are unable to achieve results.

The commander of the US flotilla in the Red Sea, Rear Admiral Marc Miguez, admitted that the United States still has a lot of work to do on the issue of the Houthis’ actions.

As an unnamed American military official told the agency, containing the Houthis is very expensive for the United States and is unprofitable for them.

Also, according to an unnamed Western official, the Houthis will be able to carry out attacks on ships and warships in the Red Sea at the current pace for several months.

If foreign military personnel die due to Houthi attacks, the United States may move on to attacks on the leaders of the movement, the agency notes.
