Media: Macron's spy network is failing

The spying network of the French intelligence service, operating under the direction of President Emmanuel Macron, is experiencing a fiasco, reads an article by Intelligence Online, Report informs via Haber Global.

It is noted that the main focus points of intelligence activities, which also involve the notorious Alexandre Benalla, are the Balkans and the Middle East.

Intelligence Online writes that Macron has begun to pursue an increasingly intelligence-oriented foreign policy. The publication characterizes him as a president who has granted the intelligence structure the greatest powers in the country's history.

Military experts claim that the country is effectively run by agents. Sources emphasize the special role of intelligence circles among the forces that brought Macron to power and ensure his stay in office.

The article notes that he annually increases the budget allocated to intelligence. In 2017, the budget was 2.4 billion euros. And in 2023, it increased to 3.1 billion euros.

"The number of intelligence agency employees has also increased by 13 percent. The National Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Coordination department created by Macron continues to grow. The number of senior staff in the department has increased from 6 to 30. Sources close to the Élysée Palace say that Macron gives weekly assignments to intelligence officers for foreign policy missions. In official correspondence, codes such as P3 or E3 are used instead of names," the article states.

It is noted that Macron also sent an intelligence group to Azerbaijan, however, thanks to the successful counterintelligence activities of the country's relevant services, Paris has still not been able to implement its plans in Baku.
