Media: Latvia sends confiscated cars worth almost 1M euros to Ukraine

Latvia has sent 271 cars confiscated for drunk driving to Ukraine, Report informs referring to foreign media.
The total value of the confiscated cars is estimated at almost one million euros, according to Delfi.
According to the Latvian State Revenue Service, since the beginning of 2023, 271 cars with a total preliminary value of 903,453 euros have been transferred to Ukraine.
In addition, the government is considering documents for the transfer of another 34 cars to Ukraine, with a total value of 161,880 euros.
On March 7, 2023, the Latvian Saeima unanimously supported amendments to the law on supporting the civilian population of Ukraine, creating grounds for transferring confiscated vehicles from drunk drivers to Ukraine.
