French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot should resign amid a "humiliating" crisis in relations with Algeria, Marion Marechal, a member of the European Parliament and Marine Le Pen's niece, said on social networks, Report informs.
"The expulsion of diplomats from the French embassy in Algeria after France's humiliation in Africa is the final blow to diplomacy under Jean-Noel Barron. After such a failure, he should resign," Marion Marechall wrote.
Earlier, the Algerian government decided to expel 12 French diplomats. It declared the employees of the French embassy and consulates in Algeria persona non grata and demanded that they leave the country within 48 hours.
