"After the recent attitude Belarus demonstrated towards Ukraine, my hopes for the Minsk agreement have diminished. From this point of view, Turkey's mediation proposal of a new venue for agreement is an ideal option," Mariana Bezuhla, a member of Ukraine's Servant of the People party and chairman of the National Security, Defense and Intelligence Committee, told Report's Eastern European bureau.
She noted that Ukraine was therefore looking for a new location and a slightly modified format:
"We are very pleased that Turkey has offered its mediation in the Ukrainian-Russian tension. This at least increases the chances of a solution and negotiations. Given that Ukraine has always supported a diplomatic solution to the armed conflict, this is very important."
