A magnitude 5.6 earthquake occurred on the border between Kyrgyzstan and China at 5:58 am on February 27, the Seismology Institute said. Report informs, citing AKIpress.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in the Kak-Shaal Too mountain range, 130 km to the southeast of Karakol.
The earth tremors were felt at magnitude 3.5 in the settlements near the epicentre.
