An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 has jolted China.
Report informs citing foreign media that magnitude 2 tremors were also felt in Almaty.
The epicenter of the earthquake is located 257 km southeast of the city of Almaty in China. "Magnitude 5.5," the report says.
Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reported that over 1,900 tremors have been registered in the republic since January 23.
