Magnitude 5.4 quake hits coast of Tonga

An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 was recorded off the coast of Tonga, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center said, Report informs.
According to the center, the epicenter was located 259 km northwest of Nuku'alofa, the capital of the kingdom. The source of the quake was at a depth of 226 km.
There were no reports of casualties or damage. No tsunami threat was declared.
