French President Emmanuel Macron believes that European NATO countries must increase their defense spending due to the existing Russian threat, Report informs via TASS.
“We are all rearming because this threat is present on our borders. We want the war (between Russia and Ukraine) to remain the main concern of Europeans. It justifies long-term rearmament because the threat will persist,” Macron told journalists after the NATO summit.
The French leader emphasized that “Europe must spend more on defense and take greater responsibility for its own security.”
