Macron: French troops neutralize head of ISIS in Greater Sahara

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced the neutralization by the French armed forces of the leader of the ‘Islamic State in the Greater Sahara’ group, which is a structure of ISIS, Report informs.
Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahrawi was “neutralized by French forces”, Macron tweeted early Sept. 16.
“This is another major success in our fight against terrorist groups in the Sahel,” Macron said, without giving the location or details of the operation.
