Macron: 9 French missing amid escalation in Middle East

The number of missing French citizens amid the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has increased to nine people, Report informs.
“We are linked to Israel through mourning. Thirty of our compatriots were murdered on October 7. Nine others are still missing or held hostage,” President Emmanuel Macron wrote on X.
Macron is visiting Israel. He met with President Isaac Herzog. At the meeting, the French president expressed full support for Tel Aviv and emphasized that “our first task is the release of the hostages.”
