Louvre closed as employees protest against pension reform

Employees of the Louvre are on strike on Monday to demand the abolition of pension reform, Report informs via TASS.
"The Louvre is closed from 09:00 Paris time on the initiative of the trade union of museum workers," the trade union center said in statement on trade union's website.
It notes that several trade unions of cultural workers and the employees of the Louvre are taking part in the strike: "It is part of the ongoing mobilization of cultural workers against pension reform."
The Louvre administration confirmed on Twitter that the museum is closed on Monday morning. "Due to an interprofessional strike, the Louvre was unable to open to the public this morning. We thank you for your understanding," the statement said.
