US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin spoke with Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov today to discuss battlefield dynamics and US support for Ukraine, Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder said in a readout, Report informs.
“Secretary Austin provided an update on US security assistance, noting the scale and speed of our ongoing efforts. The leaders also noted the importance of further strengthening Ukraine’s industrial base to meet its defense needs,” Ryder said.
