Lithuania to deliver over 5,000 drones to Ukraine by end of fall, says PM

Lithuania plans to provide Ukraine with more than 5,000 drones by the end of the fall, as part of military assistance, says Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė at a press conference with the presidents of Ukraine and Poland in Kyiv, Report informs referring to RBC-Ukraine.

A new package of assistance to Ukraine from Lithuania will arrive shortly. It will include 10 short-range air defense systems, anti-drone and other equipment, and ammunition.

“Besides, we are allocating 35 million euros to purchase radar and demining equipment for Ukraine. By the end of the fall, we hope to provide more than 5,000 Lithuanian-made drones,” said Šimonytė.

She added that the Lithuanian government had pledged to spend 0.25% of its GDP annually to help Ukraine.

“My government will not only ensure it but also exceed this plan,” the Lithuanian PM said.
