Libya planning presidential, parliamentary polls in mid-2022

Libya's presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled for mid-2022, said Mohamed Abdel Nasser, spokesman for Libya's High Council of State (HCS), Report informs, referring to Libya Al-Ahrar TV.
"These political campaigns can be held if political forces show goodwill," Mohamed Abdel Nasser said.
On December 22, Libya's Supreme Election Commission postponed the elections scheduled for December 24.
The commission proposed to hold the elections on January 24, 2022. However, the organization stressed the importance of the decision of the House of Representatives on the new date of the elections.
