Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration of Lebanon Abdallah Bou Habib has summoned the British Ambassador to Beirut, Hamish Cowell, to the Foreign Office, according to Al Mayadeen TV channel, Report informs referring to TASS.
The diplomat was handed a note of protest in connection with the latest visit of British Foreign Minister David Cameron to the Lebanese capital.
The reason for the protest was that the minister didn’t visit the Lebanese diplomatic office during his trip.
Cameron paid a one-day official visit to Beirut on February 1 as part of his tour of the Middle East. He met with Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati, as well as Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Nabih Berri.
