Lavrov: China understands that dependence on West brings serious risks

China is well aware that remaining in the Western system and utterly dependent on the West brings severe risks to national interests, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference on the results of Russian diplomacy in 2022, Report informs.

According to Lavrov, the US is looking for new ways to irritate China:

“China is well aware that the Western doctrinal guidelines ‘now Russia, then China’ are no joke. The West, as long as it ‘can walk,’ will strive to do so. They have already outlined positions on Taiwan that are absolutely unacceptable for China and international law. They are looking for more and more opportunities to irritate China.”
