Latvian man arrested for illegal connection of Russian TV channels

A resident of Latvia has been arrested for connecting Russian TV channels illegally.
Report informs citing Delfi that the investigation believes the suspect provided connection of banned TV channels to approximately 100 households in one of the districts of Riga.
TV receivers, computer equipment, telephones and payment cards were found at the arrested man's home. The man faces up to 3 years in prison.
Broadcasting of Russian content in Latvia was banned in June this year. Previously, Russian viewers could watch about 80 entertainment TV channels.
