Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics has called for new sanctions against Belarus if President Alexander Lukashenko decides to take a more active part in Russia's war against Ukraine.
According to Report, the Latvian foreign minister said on Twitter that Lukashenko is already de facto participating in this war on the side of Russia, allowing the Kremlin to use its territory for attacks against Ukraine.
"If the army of Belarus starts directly participating in this aggression, we must respond to Minsk with new sanctions and international isolation. But the most important thing is to give Ukraine even more weapons," Rinkevics said.
