Kuwait Airways resumes flights to Iraq

Kuwait Airways has resumed flights to the Iraqi city of Najaf, Report informs with reference to Kuwait's state agency KUNA.
The flights to Najaf were suspended on January 28 due to a missile attack on the Baghdad International Airport.
Now, the flights will be operated twice a week - on Saturdays and Wednesdays, said Maen Razouki, executive director of the carrier.
On January 28, six rockets were fired at Baghdad International Airport.
On the same day, Kuwait Airways, for security reasons, suspended flights to Najaf, located 160 km south of Baghdad, the only destination in Iraq to which the Kuwaiti airline operated flights.
