Jordanian FM says Palestine’s recognition by European countries important step towards peace

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi has supported the decision of Spain, Norway and Ireland to recognize the Palestinian state and called it an important step towards peace, Report informs referring to TASS.
Jordan appreciates the decision of European countries and condemns Israel’s illegal actions, he noted.
In turn, Israel’s Minister of National Security, leader of the far-right Jewish Power party, Itamar Ben-Gvir, said that his country will not allow recognition of Palestinian statehood, and called for an intensified military attack on Palestinian radicals in the Gaza Strip, including in the city of Rafah on the enclave’s border with Egypt.
