Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s Kochikai faction has officially announced its dissolution, Report informs referring to Kyodo News.
This decision was made at an extraordinary meeting of the faction on January 23. The leadership of the faction explained to its rank and file members the reasons why the faction was dissolved.
At the same time, Kishida himself, who headed it until December last year, and the second person in the faction, General Secretary of the Government Yoshimasa Hayashi, were not present at the meeting.
