Japan to try to normalize relations with North Korea

Japan will continue working to normalize the relations with North Korea and abandon its missile and nuclear programs, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno told a press conference, Report informs, referring to RIA Novosti.
“The Japanese-North Korean Pyongyang Declaration (2002) allows comprehensively solving the complex problems such as Japanese citizens forcibly held in North Korea, nuclear and missile programs, leaving the misfortunes of the past and normalizing relations between the two countries,” Matsuno said.
At the same time, he stressed that the missile launches by North Korea are unacceptable.
