The Government of Japan has decided to send another $550,000 humanitarian aid package to Ukraine, Report informs via TASS.

The funds will be used to overcome the difficulties faced by the National Police of Ukraine in the winter.

The assets will be directed to the purchase of reflective materials and chemical heating pads for Ukrainian police officers.

"Amid continued severe frosts and lack of street lighting leading to traffic accidents, the support is aimed at improving the safety of pedestrians and civil servants at night, as well as protecting civil servants working in conditions of street frost," the Japanese foreign ministry said in a statement.

The Japanese government also vowed to continue its comprehensive support for the people of Ukraine, together with the international community, including the countries of G7, which is chaired by Japan this year.
