Japan reduces LNG imports from Russia by 3.3% in 2024

Japan reduced imports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia by 3.3% in 2024 compared to 2023, according to statistics published by the country's Ministry of Finance, Report informs.
Meanwhile, imports of Russian coal over the past year decreased by 69.1%.
Japan did not import oil from Russia in the reporting period.
The country is one of the world’s largest importers of liquefied natural gas.
