Japan cancels over 124 flights due to bad weather

At least 124 domestic flights have been cancelled in Japan due to heavy snowfall, Report informs citing NHK TV channel.
According to the channel, 427 trains were suspended due to avalanches.
Up to 70 cm of snow fell in the northern regions of Japan over the past day. The wind speed was 40 m/s. Unfavorable weather conditions are expected to last until January 14.
