Italy detains 10 attackers on demonstration on Day of Liberation from Fascism and Nazism

Milan police have detained 10 people who attacked a demonstration to mark the Day of Liberation from Fascism and Nazism on April 25, according to the ANSA agency, Report informs referring to TASS.

Law enforcement agencies noted that participants in a march in honor of the Jewish Brigade (a national military unit within the British Armed Forces during World War II) were attacked.

A group of pro-Palestinian youth broke through the barrier in Duomo Square in the city center and attacked the demonstrators, as well as the volunteers guarding the event.

Since 1946, April 25 has been celebrated in Italy as a national holiday (Day of Liberation from Fascism and Nazism), mainly honoring participants in the partisan movement.
