Italian FM: EU preparing 4th package of sanctions against Tehran

The European Union (EU) is preparing the fourth package of sanctions against Tehran following the anti-government protests in Iran, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said at a joint meeting of the international affairs commissions of the Italian Parliament, Report informs.
Antonio Tajani called on Iran to stop executions immediately.
President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, previously expressed his protest to the newly appointed ambassador of Iran to Rome, Mohammad Reza Saburi, regarding the repression and death penalty against the protesters.
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, noted that the EU would impose new sanctions against Iran.
