Israel isn’t negotiating a truce with Hamas, but a coalition of countries is currently negotiating a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of hostages, Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi said, Report informs referring to TASS.
“There are no negotiations on a truce with Hamas. But some negotiations are now underway. The chief of our Mossad [David Barnea], together with the chief of the CIA [William Burns] and the Prime Minister of Qatar [Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani] are now negotiating precisely about how to find a solution to a ceasefire and the release of our hostages,” he noted.
The ambassador reminded that the main goals of Israel’s operation are to destroy the Hamas terrorist structures so that incidents such as October 7 will never happen again, and to free the hostages.
