Israel has refused to participate in the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) Regional Forum, where Spain wanted to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip, Report informs referring to Spanish media.
An Israeli diplomatic source said that the meeting risks turning into another international forum where Arab states would attack the Israeli side.
“Israel doesn’t intend to participate in the meeting,” the source noted.
Media report that Israel refused to participate immediately after the official meeting of Spanish and Israeli prime ministers Pedro Sanchez and Benjamin Netanyahu. Sanchez is visiting the Middle East with his Belgian counterpart Alexander De Croo, who also met with Netanyahu.
