Israel kills commanders of Hamas’s Nuseirat battalion in Gaza

The IDF and Shin Bet said that the commander of Hamas’s Nuseirat battalion in central Gaza, Ismail Siraj, and his deputy, Ahmed Wahaba, were killed in an airstrike in the Strip, Report informs, citing The Times of Israel.
The battalion was responsible for the attacks on Kibbutz Be’eri on October 7 and the massacres that took place there and in other border communities.
In announcing the killing of Siraj and Wahaba in Nuseirat, the army and Shin Bet said Siraj previously served as a commander of a company in Hamas’s Nukhba commando force and was also involved in manufacturing rockets. Wahaba, the deputy, was appointed to the role after the previous Nuseirat battalion deputy commander was killed by the IDF in the first weeks of the war.
