Iran threatens strikes on US-linked infrastructure in Middle East

Iran has threatened to strike critical infrastructure facilities in the Middle East if the United States attacks Iranian bridges and energy facilities, Report informs, citing Iran's Tasnim news agency.

Tasnim said the information came from a military source.

According to the source, if Washington attacks similar facilities on Iranian territory, Tehran will retaliate against US-linked civilian infrastructure, including bridges and energy facilities.

"Iran has an iron will to exercise its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and will never allow it to become a threat to Iran again," the agency quoted the source as saying.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said the United States would strike Iranian bridges and power plants every time the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacks commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
