Two French Rafale fighter jets collided midair over the eastern department of Meurthe-et-Moselle. Amidst the tragedy, a glimmer of hope emerged as one of the pilots was found alive, though injured.
The collision, which occurred on August 14, 2024, involved two Rafale jets with a total of three crew members on board.
Local media reports indicate that the rescued pilot, though wounded, was conscious when found. The condition and whereabouts of the other two crew members remain unknown at this time, as search and rescue operations continue in the area.
