Indian PM announces cessation of airstrikes against Pakistan

India has temporarily stopped strikes against Pakistan, with future actions depending on steps taken by Islamabad, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated in his first address to the nation after the launch of Operation Sindoor, Report informs.
"We have just stopped our strikes on Pakistan. India's next steps will depend on what Pakistan does in the future," he said.
India launched Operation Sindoor against Pakistan on May 6.
Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that the strikes only hit civilian targets. Following this, Islamabad also took retaliatory measures, launching a military operation called "Bunyan-um Marsoos" ("Solid Wall") against India on the night of May 10.
The tension between the parties began after an attack on tourists in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the death of 26 people. India blamed Pakistani intelligence for the incident.
