The Indian Navy and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) have successfully conducted tests of a multi-purpose underwater naval mine, Report informs via TASS.
"The Indian Navy has successfully carried out live firing of an indigenously developed state-of-the-art underwater naval mine, designed to counter stealth ships and submarines," the country's Ministry of Defense said. stated.
India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, commenting on the mine tests, emphasized that it "will further enhance the Indian Navy’s capabilities in undersea warfare."
