India and Russia may soon recognize each other's payment systems, including the Mir and RuPay systems.
Report informs, referring to Deccan Herald, that mutual acceptance of RuPay and Mir cards within the framework of the national payment infrastructures of the two countries will make it easier for visitors to India from Russia and vice versa to make payments using cards without any problems.
Such a possibility was discussed during the meeting of Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval with Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and other officials of the Russian government.
