The IAEA has recorded new damage to Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow and Natanz following attacks carried out before today's ceasefire announcement between Iran and Israel, Report informs, citing the IAEA.
In addition to the detailed assessment presented to the IAEA Board of Governors on Monday, the agency has also recorded new points of impact at nuclear facilities in Fordow and Natanz as a result of strikes carried out prior to today's statements on the situation in Iran.
The agency clarified details about the strikes on Fordow, which were reported on Monday morning.
After the US bombing of the facility on Sunday, the IAEA determined that access roads near the underground facility and one of its entrances were damaged.
Additionally, in Natanz, the agency identified two penetration points from US strikes in the area of underground halls where enrichment was previously conducted and materials were stored.
Based on information about the contents of these halls, the IAEA believes that the strike could have led to local contamination and chemical risks.
