IAEA hopes for effective discussions on creation of safe zone around Zaporizhzha NPP

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is holding necessary discussions with Russia and Ukraine on creation of a safe zone at Zaporizhzhia NPP and hopes to get the soonest result, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi told journalists.

According to Report, Grossi recalled that the nuke plant is located in the area of hostilities which is why it represents an immense threat. Therefore, the organization must immediately interfere with this situation.

This is while the IAEA is present not only at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, but also has permanent groups of experts at all other nuclear facilities in Ukraine.

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi is taking part in the Summit-level Meeting of Non-Aligned Movement Contact Group in response to COVID-19, which is taking place in Baku on March 2.
